Announcements

Applications for the 2008-2009 Raft Fellowship are now being accepted
The David Raft Fellowship for Psychoanalytic Education has been created by the North Carolina Psychoanalytic Foundation through a generous gift from Elizabeth Raft, MD. The first David Raft Fellowship was awarded in 2007 to Susan Bokor Nadas, MSW. This Fellowship is awarded annually, to one student or trainee enrolled in or planning to enroll in one of the North Carolina Psychoanalytic Society's training divisions.  The David Raft Fellowship will provide up to $1,250 to help defray the costs of tuition. The deadline for the 2008-2009 Raft Fellowship is June 6, 2008. See Raft Fellowship for additional information.

NCPF Fundraising Challenge - Building a Sustainable Future!
Long-time NCPF benefactor and board member Bill Jackson has issued an ambitious fundraising challenge and we invite you to be a part of it! Bill will donate $100,000 - $20,000 annually for the next five years - if we can raise an additional $30,000 in multiyear pledges. For more information on this challenge and how you can participate, click here.

New AutoPay Options - The North Carolina Psychoanalytic Foundation has just made your giving even easier. We can now arrange AutoPay for your annual gift. Automatic contributions are easy to set up and can be done in one of two ways: (1) you can work with your bank to set up an automatic monthly payment or (2) the NCPF can process automatic payments from your credit card. To set up your automatic contribution, please complete the AutoPay form and return it to the North Carolina Psychoanalytic Foundation, 901 Paverstone Drive, Suite 11, Raleigh, NC  27615.

Websites Educate Voters on Mental Health Issues
Leading up to the 2008 national and state elections, two websites have been created to help educate and inform voters and candidates about mental health issues: NCMentalHealthVote.org, created by the NC Psychiatric Association, and Campaign 2008, created by the American Psychoanalytic Association. The NCPF does not endorse any specific candidate or specific political party.
